Everyone wants their child to grow up to live a happy and normal life, and everyone grows up hoping they will live a happy and normal life. Most people do, but some receive reports from doctors that change their lives.

One of the most devastatingly life changing reports a person can receive from a doctor is that they have Multiple Sclerosis (MS). If you received such a report, we understand your and your loved one’s life just changed. Maybe you or a loved one are still going through testing. What is Multiple Sclerosis?

The Myelin Sheath, which is a protective covering that surround nerve cells has been damaged, and this causes nerve signals in your body to slow down or stop. This means your brain cannot communicate correctly with your body.

What are some of the Symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis?

Symptoms vary depending on the location and the severity of the disease, and they can effect various parts of the body. A person may experience mild to severe attacks that last anywhere from days to weeks to months to permanently.

  • Loss of balance
  • Muscle Spasms
  • Numbness
  • Problems with coordination
  • Tremors in arms or legs
  • Weakness in arms or legs
  • Problems walking
  • Urine Leakage
  • Constipation
  • Double vision
  • Vision loss
  • Tingling in the arms and legs
  • Dizziness
  • Hearing loss

Living with Multiple Sclerosis

Perhaps, right now, you don’t know anyone with MS and you haven’t received that diagnosis from a doctor. We hope you never have and never will. But maybe you’re reading the above list thinking you experience more than one of the above symptoms.
