Facts about Meniere’s Disease

A room that seems to be spinning when it is not really spinning is not a good thing. There’s a reason a person might experience this sensation of dizziness, such as a recent fall or blow to the head, but it may be because of something more serious.

Other conditions that may cause these battles with vertigo are Meniere’s Disease, which can be evidences in the following condition:

  • Nausea
  • Inner ear pressure
  • Low-frequency hearing loss
  • Tinnitus (ringing in the ear)

Among those who suffer from Meniere’s Disease, those in their 40’s and 50’s are at the highest risk. It only effects one ear, and those who suffer from this disease do not necessarily suffer from Vertigo. This is why it’s important for those who suffer from this disease to allow an upper cervical chiropractor to examine their upper neck vertebrae. They will be able to eliminate other possible conditions that may be leading to symptoms of this disease including the following:

  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Other systemic conditions
  • A disease in your heart or blood vessels.

A misalignments of only ¼ of a millimeter in the top two vertebrae of your spine can place enough pressure on your brainstem to hinder the brain’s ability to communicate with the body.
